Importance of GATE exam

Every year, a lot of engineering students graduate from universities and colleges across India. Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering ( GATE Exam ) is a national-level examination to test the potential of engineering students in their specific domains.

Students can use their GATE Exam Score to seek admission for M.E./ M.Tech / Ph.D. from the top colleges of the country which include 23 IITs, 31 NITs, and other reputed colleges like IISc Bangalore, IIITs, etc and later can pursue exciting career options in one of the top product-based companies like Google, Amazon, Microsoft and DE Shaw in engineering, research roles, and management institutes.

Some of the PSUs recruit based on the GATE 2020 Score (BHEL, ONGC, NTPC, NPCIL, etc). Usually, these companies release their recruitment notifications right after the GATE Exam Dates are announced, denoting that candidates must attend GATE that is eligible for a job in their organizations.

Students can also pursue masters from some foreign universities (the National University of Singapore, The Nanyang Technological University, Technical University of Munich, and a few more), as GATE is accepted as a valid substitute for the GRE as an entry-level criterion.

Although corporates companies don't prefer“GATE Qualified” as an essential requirement, companies will know that you are one step ahead of other candidates, increasing your employability and chances of getting a higher salary package.
