Urban heat islands are increasing globally and there are so many mitigation measures to reduce the severity caused by the UHI effect. Researchers (Md Nuruzzaman, 2015; Juan Angel Acero, 2017; Gloria pinata, 2018; Jordan, 2018; Mélissa Giguère, 2012) have tried many measures that show a minimized UHI effect One of the study areas, SMESC colony (moderate hotspot) has been taken as an example for showing the prevailing conditions with suggestive mitigation measures that can be adapted to reduce the UHI effect in the area. The current microclimatic conditions were simulated by linking the microclimatic parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and direction purchased from weather online. Simulated air temperature, relative humidity, wind speed, and direction for each scenario were compared with the prevailing conditions to evaluate the impact of every change.
